C$ per gram, not US$ per anything
The classic Canadian selling mistake happens before any shop is entered: pricing a jewellery box from a US website. An American per-gram figure understates the Canadian-dollar value by the full exchange gap, so an offer that would be fair against the C$ number looks generous against the USD one — and buyers know which number optimistic sellers carry.
