About GoldHub
GoldHub exists because there was no single place to find the live gold price, work out what your specific item is worth, and see who near you will buy it — without one of those three answers being an advertisement.
What this site does
Three things, and it tries to do them properly rather than doing twenty things badly:
- The live price. Spot XAU/USD, refreshed continuously, with its own price history and charts — not a number copied from a futures quote and left to go stale.
- Calculators that answer the real question. “How much is my 14K chain worth?” is a different question from “what is gold trading at?”, and it deserves a tool rather than a paragraph.
- A buyer directory with the number that matters. Names and addresses are easy and every directory has them. What people actually want to know is what percentage of the metal’s value a given buyer will hand over — so that is what we are measuring and publishing, with dates.
How we are different from the directories
Most gold-buyer listings are a name, an address and a phone number, scraped once and never touched again. No opening hours, no licence status, no indication of when any of it was last checked, and no way to tell a licensed dealer from a shop that opened last week.
We show licence numbers and link to the state register so you can verify them. We date our data. And we publish the payout percentage — which is the one number a gold buyer would prefer you could not compare.
How this is paid for
Advertising, and it is labelled as advertising every time. Businesses can buy a banner or a featured placement.
What is not for sale, at any price: the payout percentage, the licence status, and the position of a listing in a ranking based on those figures. A directory that sells its way to the top of its own comparison is not a comparison. See our editorial policy for how that separation is enforced.

Nothing on this site is financial advice — it is price data and arithmetic, and what you do with your gold is your decision.
